Written by professors
Each book is written by faculty who teach the subject, not adapted from someone else's manuscript. The voice is a professor explaining the field to a class.
Peer reviewed
The material is read and challenged by other people who know the field before it reaches a student. Claims are checked against their sources.
Guided by an advisory board
A standing group of instructors advises on what belongs in each book and where the field is heading, so the books teach what a course actually needs.
Kept current, on purpose
We own the books, so they are never frozen. When the field moves, we update the chapter, the figures, and the questions, and the change is recorded in public.

A textbook that goes out of date is the normal case. Ours does not, because every revision, new explainer, and redrawn figure is written down in plain words on a page anyone can read.
